The school, during the current academic year has added several feathers to its cap. We are proud of our students and teachers who strive hard beyond expectation.

Innovation is at the very root of our teaching pedagogy, which has 4 petals.

The report for our 1st petal, i.e., Academics:

Project-Based Learning – Engaging Minds through Real-World Challenges
our school implemented Project-Based Learning (PBL), allowing students to tackle real-world problems through collaborative projects. PBL encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, as students worked on projects related to subjects like science, social studies, and the arts.

By actively engaging in research, experimentation, and presentation, students developed practical skills and a deeper understanding of the concepts they were learning. This approach not only made learning more interactive and meaningful but also helped students connect classroom knowledge to real-life applications.

CCA (Cocurricular Activities)
This year, we organized several engaging Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) to foster creativity and skills:

  • Informal Letter Writing: Encouraged students to express themselves through creative writing.
  • Solo Dance: A vibrant platform for students to showcase their artistic talents.
  • Rangoli Competition: Promoted cultural appreciation and artistic expression.
  • Debate: Enhanced students’ critical thinking and public speaking abilities.

These activities helped nurture creativity, confidence, and teamwork among our students.

Outstanding Academic Achievement – 100% Result in 10th Standard (Batch 2023-2024)

We are extremely proud to announce that our 10th Standard batch of 2023-2024 achieved an outstanding 100% result in the board exams. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our students and teachers.

Our students not only excelled academically but also demonstrated strong values of perseverance and discipline throughout the year. This success is a testament to the quality of education and holistic development provided at RISG.

Edubition on Avirat Bharatam
Our school hosted an Edubition on the theme “Avirat Bharatam”, celebrating India’s rich heritage, unity, and progress. Students participated in presentations, debates, and exhibitions, reflecting on how they can contribute to building a vibrant and thriving nation. The event inspired patriotism and a deeper understanding of India’s growth and potential.

Regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
Throughout the year, we held regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to ensure strong communication between the school and families. These meetings provided a platform for parents to discuss their child’s academic progress, behavior, and overall development with teachers.

The feedback and collaboration from these sessions played a key role in supporting students’ growth and success

Affiliation Upgraded to Senior Secondary (UPTO XII)

We are proud to announce that our school has been granted official permission to upgrade to Senior Secondary. This significant development allows us to expand our educational offerings to include classes up to the 12th grade. With this new permission, we can now provide students with a wider range of subjects and prepare them for diverse career paths and higher education opportunities. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to delivering quality education and fostering holistic growth in our students.

Edumania – Daily Thoughtful Insights

This year, we introduced Edumania, an initiative aimed at fostering positive habits and thoughtfulness among students. Through this program, we send out a Thought of the Day, Fact of the Day, Act of Kindness, and Word of the Day on a daily basis.

The goal of Edumania is to inspire students to reflect on values, expand their knowledge, and practice kindness in their daily lives. This initiative has not only encouraged personal growth but also created a positive and motivating environment throughout the school community.

Teacher Training and Capacity Building
This year, we placed a significant focus on the professional development of our teachers through a series of capacity-building programs. These included workshops on innovative teaching strategies, classroom management, and technology integration, empowering our educators to create engaging, student-centered learning environments.

We also prioritized emotional intelligence and mental health awareness, ensuring our teachers are equipped to support students’ well-being. Additionally, we introduced peer mentoring and collaborated with external experts to further enhance teaching practices.

These initiatives have not only strengthened our teaching staff’s skills but have also fostered a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, ultimately enhancing the overall learning experience for our students.

Sports Activities

Outstanding Achievement in Sports
We are extremely proud to announce that Shanvi Kashyap, a Grade 1 student, has won two gold medals at the National Skating Championship held in December. Her exceptional performance has not only brought glory to our school but has also earned her eligibility to participate at the international level. Shanvi’s achievement is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and passion for sports. We congratulate her and wish her all the best.

Gujarat State Wado Kai Karate Championship
Our school had the honor of hosting the Gujarat State Wado Kai Karate Championship on our campus this year. The event saw strong participation from talented athletes across the schools, showcasing remarkable skills and sportsmanship. It was a proud moment for us to provide a platform for young martial artists to compete and excel. We are proud to have supported such an event and wish all the participants continued success in their martial arts journeys.

Report on our 3rd petal Humanities:

Celebrating Special Days
At RIS, we believe in nurturing not only academic growth but also the development of responsible, empathetic, and engaged citizens. This year, we celebrated a range of important days, each with unique themes that helped our students learn, reflect, and contribute positively to society.

  • World Earth Day (April 22): We held tree planting and environmental awareness programs, inspiring students to adopt eco-friendly practices.
  • Yoga Day (June 21): Our students participated in yoga sessions, promoting physical and mental well-being.
  • Father’s Day (June): Students expressed gratitude towards fathers through creative gifts and heartfelt messages.
  • Plastic Bag Free Day (July 3): We raised awareness about plastic pollution and encouraged reusable alternatives.
  • Doctor’s Day (July 1): Students honored doctors by creating thank-you notes and learning about the importance of healthcare
  • Janmashtami (August): A vibrant celebration with dance, drama, and Dahi Handi, teaching students about Lord Krishna’s values.
  • Independence Day (August 15): We celebrated freedom and patriotism with flag hoisting and cultural performances.
  • Grandparents’ Day (September 15): Students paid tribute to their grandparents through songs, dances, and heartfelt messages.
  • Kargil Vijay Diwas (July 26): We honored our soldiers’ sacrifices and discussed the importance of patriotism.
  • Children’s Day (November 14): A day filled with fun activities, games, and performances celebrating our students.

These celebrations have helped instill values of patriotism, respect, and responsibility in our students.

Drama Workshop – Unleashing Creativity and Confidence
This year, we organized an enriching Drama Workshop aimed at fostering creativity, self-expression, and confidence among our students. The workshop was conducted by a professional theater instructor, who guided students through various acting techniques, improvisation exercises, and character development activities.

The students not only learned the art of drama but also gained skills in teamwork, communication, and public speaking. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to explore their creative potential, boost their self-confidence, and appreciate the power of storytelling.

Special Assemblies   
Throughout the year, our school organized several Special Assemblies to celebrate important events, festivals, and themes. These assemblies provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents through skits, speeches, dances, and songs, while also fostering a sense of unity and school spirit. Special assemblies were held to commemorate national holidays, cultural festivals, and significant occasions,
reinforcing values like patriotism, respect, and community. These assemblies not only enriched the students’ cultural and moral understanding but also encouraged them to express themselves confidently in front of their peers.

Health Checkup

A Health Checkup was conducted for all students to ensure their well-being. The checkup included general health assessments, eye exams, and dental screenings, promoting a healthy lifestyle and early identification of any health issues.

Book Fair – Promoting a Love for Reading
Our school hosted a Book Fair this year, encouraging students to explore new books and foster a love for reading. The fair featured a wide range of books, from storybooks to educational resources, giving students an opportunity to expand their knowledge and reading habits. It was a wonderful initiative to promote literacy and stimulate curiosity among our young learners

Educational Visits and Experiential Learning
As part of our commitment to providing students with practical learning experiences, this year we organized several educational visits to culturally and historically significant places.

  • Adalaj Ki Vav: Our students explored the historical stepwell of Adalaj Ki Vav, gaining insight into ancient architecture, history, and engineering marvels.
  • Punit Van Garden: The visit to Punit Van Garden not only exposed students to the beauty of nature but also promoted environmental awareness and the importance of conservation.
  • Mahatma Mandir: At Mahatma Mandir, students learned about the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, reinforcing lessons in history and values of peace, non-violence, and leadership
  • Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India: The trip to the Entrepreneurship Development Institute was particularly inspiring, as students gained valuable exposure to business and entrepreneurial skills, motivating them to think creatively about their futures.

These visits enriched students’ knowledge beyond the classroom, providing them with firsthand experiences that fostered both personal and academic growth.

Christmas Carnival – A Celebration of Creativity and Entrepreneurship
our school proudly hosted the Christmas Carnival, one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the year. The carnival was not just a celebration of the festive season, but also an exceptional learning experience for our students.
The students took charge of organizing, managing, and running their stalls, giving them a hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial management. They learned valuable lessons in budgeting, pricing, and customer service, while also honing their leadership and communication skills.
The carnival brought together the entire school community, with families, teachers, and students enjoying a day filled with fun activities, delicious food, and exciting games. It was a wonderful blend of celebration, learning, and community spirit.

Project Samvedna – Embracing the Joy of Giving
As part of our school’s commitment to social responsibility, we launched Project Samvedna, an initiative that allowed our students to connect with the community and experience the joy of giving. Through this project, students participated in various charitable activities, such as distributing food, clothes, and essential items to underprivileged families Project Samvedna aimed to teach students the importance of empathy, kindness, and social awareness. It was a powerful learning experience, helping them understand the challenges faced by others and
encouraging them to contribute positively to society. By directly engaging in acts of service, our students not only learned about the value of giving but also developed a deep sense of responsibility towards their community.

Guest Lectures – Inspiring Career Pathways

  • Sajan Shah, an industry expert, shared his knowledge on the evolving career landscape, providing valuable insights into emerging professions and the skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic world.
  • Mohit Mangal, a career counselor, conducted an interactive session on career planning, helping students explore various career options, understand their strengths, and make informed decisions
    about their future paths.

These sessions were an invaluable opportunity for students to receive expert advice, gain clarity about their career aspirations, and understand the importance of planning and preparation for their professional journeys

School Council and Elections – Fostering Leadership and Responsibility
Our school organized the School Council Elections, providing students with a platform to develop leadership skills and engage in the democratic process. The election process was conducted with the utmost transparency and fairness, allowing students to nominate candidates, campaign, and vote for their peers.

The elected School Council plays a crucial role in representing the student body, organizing events, and contributing to the overall functioning of the school.

Through this process, students learned about teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and the importance of active participation in school life.

This initiative not only empowered students to take ownership of their school environment but also helped them develop a sense of responsibility and accountability.

Work Education – Developing Practical Skills
This year, we continued our focus on Work Education, providing students with hands-on learning experiences in practical life skills. Students were taught essential skills such as cooking, stitching, and craft.

These activities encouraged creativity, self-reliance, and a sense of accomplishment. Through cooking sessions, students learned about nutrition and basic culinary techniques; stitching workshops helped them develop patience and precision, while crafting encouraged artistic expression and resourcefulness.

Work Education played a vital role in empowering students with life skills that complement their academic learning, fostering both independence and creativity

Sanskar Module – Nurturing Values
As part of our efforts to instill strong moral values in our students, we introduced the Sanskar Module, a monthly program focused on teaching core values. Each month, students were introduced to a new Sanskar, such as gratitude towards Mother Earth, appreciation for parents, and respect for elders.

The module aimed to cultivate emotional intelligence, empathy, and respect for others. Through activities, discussions, and reflections, students not only deepened their understanding of these values but also learned how to incorporate them into their daily lives, building a more compassionate and responsible generation

Digital Gullak – Financial Literacy Program
This year, we introduced the Digital Gullak program to teach students the fundamentals of financial literacy. Through interactive sessions, students learned budgeting, saving, and investing, using digital tools to manage finances. The program empowered students with essential skills for responsible money
management and financial planning, preparing them for a financially secure future.

Conclusion

At Rangoli International School, we are committed to fostering a nurturing environment where each student can discover their true potential. By blending academic excellence, physical wellness, cultural appreciation, and essential life skills, we prepare our students to become well-rounded individuals and responsible global citizens.
